Just near the northern border of NSW, tucked into the coastal town of Casuarina on the Tweed Coast, Osteria Weddings has built its reputation the right way, one wedding at a time, since 2014. It's an all-inclusive venue with a hospitality background rather than a pure events one, and that shows up in everything from the food to how smoothly the day tends to flow.

What Works Really Well
Everything happens on one property, which takes a lot of pressure off the day. Getting ready in the Bridal Suite and Groom Room, the ceremony in the garden, the reception in The Refinery, it all flows without anyone needing to travel between locations. The Refinery itself is a gift for reception photos, exposed beams and fairy-lit walls give the whole space a warm, golden glow once the sun goes down. And because Osteria started life as a restaurant, the food is genuinely excellent, which means the dinner portion of the night is full of real reactions worth capturing, not just polite bites.
What's Worth Planning For
The garden ceremony courtyard is intimate by design, which is beautiful for atmosphere but does mean larger bridal parties benefit from talking through positioning ahead of time so everyone fits comfortably in frame. The Refinery's ambient lighting is gorgeous, but once full darkness sets in we lean on flash to keep the reception images crisp rather than relying on the fairy lights alone. And because Osteria is one of the most popular venues on the Tweed Coast, it often runs weddings back to back, so bump-in and bump-out windows can be tighter than a private property, worth building into your day-of timeline with a little buffer.
Capacity
Osteria claims they hosts up to 150 seated guests across the ceremony, reception, and breakout spaces. We've photographed weddings here around the 80 guest mark and the space held that size well, intimate where it needed to be, open where it counted. Our personal suggestion would be to keep your guest list at 90 maximum to ensure you don’t feel squished and crowded.

If you're after a change of scenery for couple or bridal party portraits after your ceremony, Melaleuca Station Memorial Gardens is a short drive from Osteria and genuinely stunning, mature topiary, lush manicured grounds, and beautiful open light. It's worth knowing this is a memorial garden rather than a public park, so it's a lovely option for couples who like the idea, but we're always happy to suggest alternatives too if that's not the vibe you're after. Good To Know
Osteria is around 15 minutes from Gold Coast Airport and 40 minutes north of Byron Bay, an easy spot for interstate guests to fly into. It's also a few hundred metres from Casuarina beach, so a sunset beach portrait session is an easy addition if the tide and light line up.
